Bio- Jess Fleur Thorpe
Hi, I'm Jess Fleur Thorpe, A Recent Animation & VFX Graduate From Falmouth University, Specializing In Foley, Within Sound Design. While At University I Have Had Numerous Roles, Such As An ANIMATOR (COLOURIST/INBETWEENER), EDITOR, MIXER, VOICE OVER ARTIST, FOLEY ARTIST And Even A DIRECTOR, On My Own Student Film, Witch Was A 2D Animation, About A Pirates Struggles, With Learning To Swim In Water.
I am currently a Certified Pro Tools 12 User, with lots of experience using this software, due to the various projects, I have had the chance to use it on, throughout my time at the university.
Therefore As A Result Of Having Done Animation, At University. It gives me the upper hand, on knowing When Foley Is Working Or Not Within Film or Animation. Thanks to having worked on Both Side’s of Film & Animation. On one side the Lovely Hard Working Passionate Animation/Design And on the other the Foley/Music That Helps To Bring to life Any & Every Film. With Its Soulful Sounds.
In The Future, I Hope To End Up Becoming, A Field Recording Artist. Working On Nature Documentaries, Maybe even working alongside gordon buchanan One day. As I Have Always Had A Love For Animals ever Since I Was Young And No Matter Where I Am Nature Speaks To Me. Even Right Now The Birds Outside My Window, Are Chirping Away And Want To Get In On This Conversation.
